Guest Bath Gets Huge Facelift

Sadly, I do not have any before photos of the room.  There was a wall and a door between the vanity and the tub area.  We knocked that out and framed it.  We added a beadboard ceiling and new travertive floors. Here is the rest of the story.

THE GUEST BATH

This was an old buffet that was in perfect shape which I bought for a steal at a local antique market. With some adjustments we were able to add the sink, faucet and plumbing, while still saving space to utilize most all of the doors and drawers. I purchased the buffet at a an antique store for 250.00.  Now you can't beat that with a stick!

We added the new bathtub and toilet (I love the flusher being on top).  The tile was cut down from 12x12 botticcino marble tile to 6x12.  I have to say it looks so much better in person. The tile has subtle hints of sea green and gold along with subtle veining. It may be difficult to see but we also used beadboard on the bath basin.  The same as we used on the ceiling.

The faucet was a steal from overstock.com and it was heavy and very well made and fit the space perfectly.
